The call for sponsorship has ended. Many thanks to our
Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) and New York University (NYU)
co-sponsored the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid (WLCG) workshop and the
Computing in High Energy and Nuclear Physics (CHEP) conference at NYU’s Kimmel
Center in Manhattan, NY, from May 19 to May 25, 2012. Both events are major
international forums focused on the exponentially growing computing needs of
large-scale physics experiments, designed and operated by thousands of
scientists and engineers and organized into international collaborations.
These collaborators come from universities, research centers and national
laboratories around the world. Average attendance was approximately 150 for
the WLCG workshop and 500 for the CHEP conference.
